History:
     In European countries, watching Standardbred races was more popular than watching Thoroughbred racing.  Although Standardbreds aren't quite as fast as Thoroughbreds, they do have Thoroughbred amcestors and are in very close running with them.
Head:
     The head of a Standardbred is very muscular.  Though coarse and very plain, the head of a Standardbred is still very attractive.
Height:
     The average height of a Standardbred is 15.2hh.
Body:
     The body of a Standardbred is shorter and longer than that of a Thoroughbred, but it is very strong and muscular.
Temperament:
     Standardbreds are very determined and gentle horses.
Color:
     The colors of a Standardbred are bay, chestnut, black, and brown.

Standardbreds are very protective of their young and they make excellent parents.
