History:

Thoroughbreds are the fastest and most valuable of all the breeds found around the world.  Thoroughbreds are also known for being great racehorses and breeding horses.

 Height:

The height of the Thoroughbred is 16-16.2hh but Thoroughbreds are often found above and below average height.

 Head:

A Thoroughbreds head is clean-cut, lean, and very fine.  It has a covering of very thin skin, thin enough to see its veins beneath.  The profile of a Thoroughbred is straight, the eyes are big and alert, and the nostrils are large.  The ears are also alert and mobile.

 Temperament:

Thoroughbreds possess both physical and mental stamina.  They are very courageous, but nervous and sensitive.  They can be difficult temperamentally.

 Maturity:

Thoroughbreds mature at an early age.  They can start racing at the age of 2 years old.

 Color:

Typically, the Thoroughbreds colors are brown, bay, chestnut, black, and gray.
