The name Selle Fraçais means "French Saddle Horse". Selle Fraçais' are excellent trotters.
Head:
The Selle Français' head is a mixture of the French Trotter, Thoroughbred, and Arabian horse heads.
Height:
There are different sizes of the Selle Français. Mediumweight Small- usually 15.3hh, Medium- 15.3-16.1hh, Large- over 16.1hh, Heavyweight Small- below 16hh, and Large- over 16hh.
Temperament:
Selle Français' are very spirited horses and have great agility.
Color:
Selle Français can come in every equine color, but chestnuts are the most common.
